Introductory ArchiCAD - Part 1: Basic Concepts and Modeling

This course introduces the concepts and tools of ArchiCAD, how to work in a virtual building environment, and how to use ArchiCAD's 2D & 3D tools. After this class, you will know the underlying organization of the application, how to use the tools, and how to create a Building Information Model in ArchiCAD. This course is appropriate for new users of ArchiCAD, or experienced users who would like to get a high-level orientation of the basic aspects of the application. Introductory ArchiCAD - Part 2: Production with ArchiCAD and PlotMaker

This course focuses on preparing the ArchiCAD Building Information model for construction documents, and setting up those construction documents in PlotMaker. After this class, you will know how to create and print a set of construction documents from a complete ArchiCAD model. This course is appropriate for new users that have completed Introductory ArchiCAD, or experienced users who have completed a schematic design model in ArchiCAD. (Full day)

Intermediate ArchiCAD Techniques: Enhancing Productivity

This course covers the time-saving techniques that smooth the modeling and documentation process. Techniques and commands includes: Intersecting, Trimming, Editing Polygons, Editing in the 3D Window, basic Object Making, and Layout techniques. This course is appropriate for users who have completed the Introductory and Production classes, or for experienced users who have completed a design development model, and set up cartoon layouts. Intermediate ArchiCAD Techniques: Rendering and Visualization

This course explains how to use the 3D environment effectively. After this course, you will know how to create study renderings for design development, abstract renderings for client presentation, realistic and site specific renderings for committee presentation, and a variety of VR and Fly-through animations. This course is appropriate for new users that have completed Introductory ArchiCAD, or experienced users who have completed a schematic design model in ArchiCAD. (Full day)

Advanced ArchiCAD Techniques: Enhancing Productivity

This course details advanced techniques in ArchiCAD that can dramatically shorten the time required to produce a documentation-ready ArchiCAD model. Topics covered include; creating custom line types, fill types, and composite structures; using Find and Select and saved searches; using Favorites and standards; API commands like Automatic Dimensioning, Modify Wall, and Spell Checker; and a section on DWG export and import settings and methodologies. This course is appropriate for users who understand simple operations like Multiply and Rotate, and intermediate operations like Intersect and Edit Polygon. (Full day)

Consulting Services:

ArchiCAD for Teamwork Collaboration (On site training only) :

This training session covers the complete setup of a TeamWork project. During this training session, we will establish a customized TeamWork setup procedure, and your team will understand how to efficiently use the TeamWork collaborative environment within ArchiCAD. (Half day)

Interface Customization/Standards (On site training only) :

This training session covers the initial setup of ArchiCAD in firms where a standardized environment is essential to productivity. This is a guided collaborative effort during which the standards for Interface Customization and Network installation, Schedules setup, Keyboard Commands, and Favorites are discussed and a deployment strategy is designed.
